Expert Medical Opinion is available for members with complex conditions or comorbidities who want a comprehensive case review. Examples listed in the program materials include cancer, multiple sclerosis, inflammatory bowel diseases, joint and musculoskeletal pain, and migraines.
3. What does an Expert Medical Opinion include?
Members receive diagnosis and treatment confirmation, guidance and recommendations, and answers to their questions based on a review of their medical information.
4. What is Critical Case Support?
Critical Case Support is designed for people and families who have experienced a traumatic event or are in an intensive care unit or inpatient setting. Support may address situations involving traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, multi-organ failure, serious burns, premature birth, and COVID-19.
5. What support is available through Critical Case Support?
The service includes diagnosis confirmation, support for trauma, post-acute care and treatment planning, and availability 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
