The Department of Labor’s 2022 ERISA Advisory Council has announced it will examine cybersecurity issues affecting health benefit plans as well as the role that cybersecurity insurance plays in addressing cyber risks for all types of employee benefit plans.
It’s hoped that the council’s efforts will result in additional guidance for plan sponsors and other stakeholders.
