KATHLEEN JOHNSON MEMORIAL NINE & DINE Golf Invitational to benefit the MORICHES COMMUNITY CENTER
MORICHES COMMUNITY CENTER was incorporated in 2000 by community leaders wanting to create a safe, well supervised place for local youth during out-of-school times. Our agency's mission is to encourage youth to make positive behavior choices and develop healthy relationships with adults and each other. We also provide outreach assistance through Santa's Workshop to community families in need. A well respected non profit agency, Moriches Community Center offers quality programs and activities (many free of charge) to more than 1000 youth and their families yearly, including Open Rec nights, After School Drop In, Peer Leadership, Tutoring, IGHL Fitness Fun, summer camps, wellness programs, and community outreach.
With the opening in 2019 of the Town of Brookhaven's beautiful Moriches Bay Recreation Center, Moriches Community Center now has a permanent home! Proceeds from the NINE & DINE Golf Invitational will help fund our After School Drop In program and other activities that address the mental health and well-being of local teens. We are so grateful for your support!
