ASSEMBLY MEMBER LANDON DAIS DISTRICT 77
PRESENTS:
RALLY TO END VETERANS POVERTY:
Location: Joyce Kilmer Park, Bronx, NY (Across from the Bronx Borough Hall)
Day: Tuesday, September 30th, 2025
Time: 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM
STAND WITH OUR VETERANS. DEMAND THE RESPECT THEY DESERVE.
Assembly Member Landon Dais invites Community Members, Advocates, Elected Officials, Veterans, and their families to rally together in solidarity for those who have served this nation and who now face poverty, neglect, and insufficient support right here in New York.
Our veterans answered the call to serve in the United States Armed Forces, but far too many now struggle with housing instability, food insecurity, mental health challenges, unemployment, and a lack of access to basic services and state-supported incentives.
This is unacceptable.
It's time for New York to live up to its promise and end Veteran Poverty.
PURPOSE OF THE RALLY:
Raise awareness about the growing crisis of Veteran poverty in New York State.
Highlight the gaps in services and support that veterans continue to face after service.
Build momentum heading into the next legislative session to pass meaningful, veteran-focused legislation.
Unify voices across boroughs and communities to demand accountability and action.
WHY NOW?
This rally marks a critical moment. With the 2025-2026 legislative session approaching, we must generate public pressure and media attention to ensure veterans' needs are a priority in Albany. This rally will serve as a reminder to Veterans that New York Sees You, Hears You & Fights for You!
