The Mission Continues - Veteran Remediation Project (Vets4Vets Project)

When:
March 1, 2026

mission continues

Event overview

In October 2025, Edward F. Lukoski VFW Post 7096 in Sunset Park, Brooklyn, was severely damaged by a torrential rainstorm that dropped more than six inches of water in parts of the borough. Stormwater flooded the basement, leaving furniture and materials unsalvageable once the water receded.

As part of The Mission Continues NYC’s ongoing support for veterans, volunteers will assist with removing and disposing of water-damaged furniture and debris into an on-site dumpster, helping the Post begin the rebuilding process.

We invite you to join us in supporting these veterans through hands-on service. Safety gear, including gloves, masks, glasses, and Tyvek suits, will be provided. A light breakfast and lunch will also be available for volunteers.
